Soap&Glory Heel Genius and Hand Dream, RE-GEN Cream, MAC Lipstick in 'HUE', The Body Shop Deep Sleep body/pillow mist, Make up Revolution Bulletproof Brow Palette in 'Fair to Medium', Maybelline lip liner in 'Sweet Pink'

I did this post a few months back and I have to say that I think it's probably one of my favourite posts to do as it's simple but super pretty.
So, here are some items that have been kept on my bedside recently and I've found myself reaching for them quite a lot. I have unbelievably dry skin over the majority of my body besides my face and so I can't even have a cheat day and not moisturise after a bath or shower, everyday is a moisturising day for me :( but I've loved using the Soap & Glory Heel Genius and Hand Dream, both smell amazing and leave my feet and hands feeling super soft. Since finally clearing my acne a few months ago besides the few pimples here and there my next mission is to banish those horrible pimples/scars that have been left behind- I've been trying the RE-GEN cream for about a month now and I have to say it's a miracle product! My skin has never felt or looked better and it was only £3.99 from Home Bargains!!

SUPERDRUG HAUL

Wednesday 15 April 2015

It's that time again! The famous 3 for 2 offer on everything is at Superdrug and I just couldn't help myself. As you've probably noticed most of my drugstore hauls are from Superdrug and the reason for this is because I am able to use my NUS student card as opposed to Boots- although I must admit I am not a fan of the points system in Superdrug I do like saving a bit of money. Anyway, enough of me blabbering and on to the haul!

MAYBELLINE COLOR DRAMA INTENSE VELVET LIP PENCILS £4.99

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT:410 FAB ORANGE/ 420 IN WITH CORAL/ 140 MINIMALIST

I have had my eye on these gorgeous jumbo lip pencils for a while now and admittedly had already psyched out the colours I wanted to pick up before visiting Superdrug. I particularly love how these can be used to line the lips first and then you can go in and build up the colour- 2 in 1!

LOREAL PARIS INFALLIBLE 24H-MATTE FOUNDATIONS £7.99 EACH IN 10 PORCELAIN/ BOURJOIS VOLUME CLUBBING ULTRA BLACK MASCARA £7.99

I actually picked up the Bourjois Volume Clubbing mascara after a friend recommended it to me,her lashes always look amazing and thick without ending up clumped together so I thought i'd give it a go.
I have seen so many first impression videos and blog posts about this Loreal Infallible 24H-Matte foundation and was in search for a new foundation as my usual MAC Studio Fix Fluid had seen better days, and sadly seen as I don't live near a MAC I thought I'd try dabbling in some drugstore foundation again.

GARNIER CLEANSING MICELLAR WATER 400ML WAS £4.99 NOW £3.32

I can remember using this as part of my evening skin care routine before using my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish and from what I can remember that was the time when my skin was behaving itself more times than not, so I figured why not start using it again?

COLLECTION EYES UNCOVERED NUDE PALETTE £3.99/ COLLECTION CREAM PUFF LIP CREAM 5ML IN 'COTTON CANDY' £2.99/ COLLECTION LASH LENGTHENING MASCARA 8ML IN 'ULTRA BLACK' £2.99

And now the last part of my 3 for 2 and I just had to pick up one of the Collection Eyes Uncovered Nude palette when I saw them in my local Superdrug and for a bargain! £3.99!! The shade range of these palettes are to die for as well as the pigmentation, they remind me of the Naked Basics palette but for a fraction of the price.

The last two items I picked up were one of the Creams in 'Cotton Candy'- complete nostalgia with this as I can remember going through tubes of it whilst being at school so I clearly loved it!
And finally I picked up one of the Collection lengthening mascaras which contains little fibres in the formula to help lengthen the lashes, admittedly I've never used a fibre mascara so I'm not really sure what to expect but I'm sure it'll feature in a future post if I'm impressed.

MY FIRST CHARLOTTE TILBURY LIPSTICK & LINER COMBO

Monday 13 April 2015

I can assure you that my bank account certainly won't be happy about this but I finally splurged and purchased my first Charlotte Tilbury lipstick and lip liner combo.
After spending ages at their Selfridges counter gazing at the amazing shade range I finally opted for one of the Matte Revolution lipsticks in the shade 'Amazing Grace' and one of the Lip Cheat lip liners in 'Pink Venus', thus creating the perfect combo.

They're calling this formulation the matte lipstick of the future because it gives you a modern look without the drying formula and flatness that other matte lipsticks have.

Enriched with new-generation 3D glowing pigments for lips that look lit-from-within and an optical ‘matte-trick’ to create the appearance of wider, fuller lips.”-Charlotte Tilbury

I can't wait to wear both of these and certainly will be investing in some more combos once my bank balance recovers!

It's all about MAC lipsticks today! I think it's safe to assume that most of us beauty bloggers and the make up obsessed of us have heard about/own at least one MAC lipstick. I have to hold my hands up and say, yes I am addicted and so I thought i'd share my collection with you all as I absolutely love reading about other collections.

As you can see I am a big fan of pinks and nudes, but then again who isn't!

Some more shades that I've got my eye on are:
Creme cup

Fanfare
Saint Germain
Pink nouveau
Twig

But if any of you have some suggestions that are completely different to the colours i've already got please comment below and I will certainly check them out!

BOTANICS ALL BRIGHT SKIN CARE SAVIOURS

Saturday 21 March 2015

Last month I popped into boots and noticed that they had a 3 for 2 offer on their Botanics range. I've recently seen lots of posts raving about this range and in particular the 'ALL BRIGHT' products so I decided I'd give these three a go.

ALL BRIGHT Radiance Balm £2.99 WAS £5.99

I've been using this product in replacement of my usual primer (Smashbox Photo Finish £25)and I have to say it's amazing! It really does what it says on the tube and helps to noticeably brighten your complexion, it also has a really light formulation so it's not heavy on the skin. In regards to how it is under make up it works perfectly as a primer as it keeps everything in place all day.

ALL BRIGHT Refreshing Eye Roll-On 15ml £4.49

I have to admit that recently I'd forgotten about taking care of my eyes within my usual skincare routine but this product is a real life saver. Do you ever have those mornings where you wake up and look like you've just had 10 rounds with Mike Tyson? Because I certainly do! This little miracle product helps to de-puff your eyes whilst the metal roller ball cools.
In actual fact this product has prompted me to find a night time version, so if any of you have some recommendations on a good night cream please comment below and let me know!

ALL BRIGHT Face Serum £5-£7

Unfortunately I couldn't find this on the Boots website so I had to make a rough guess in regards to the price I paid for it as I didn't keep the receipt but never mind! This has been the first time I've used a face serum and I have to say that this is probably the product that I've been most impressed with!
It adds so much more to your usual skin care routine and leaves my skin feeling softer than it's ever felt before (combination skin) it's a real miracle product.

Are there any skin care products you've recently discovered and just cant stop raving about?

Also please leave your eye cream suggestions below!!

HOLIDAY BEAUTY LUSTING

Saturday 7 March 2015

Bourjois Bronzing Primer £9.99
I'm super excited to be going on holiday in May with Drew and my family so fingers crossed I'll get a tan! As soon as the weather gets a bit nicer I find myself becoming more of a bronzing addict and this product looks like it would be right up my street. It claims to smooth out your skin with an even coverage whilst having a matte finish to it.

EOS Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet £5.99
I've heard such a hype around these lip balms and have never actually tried one. I love using fruity lip balms to hydrate my lips in the warmer weather and strawberry sorbet just sounds delicious!

Urban Decay Sheer Revolution lipstick in Obsessed £15.50
I already own one of these lipsticks in the shade 'Liar' and it's one of my absolute favourites. The formula is amazing as well as the staying power so I've got my eye on this particular shade to spruce up my Spring/Summer lip collection.

Make up Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Sugar & Spice £6.00
The shades in this palette look absolutely gorgeous and it's only £6.00 I can hardly believe it. I love a nice pale pink blush in the warmer weather as it's so pretty and fresh. This palette is an absolute dream!

L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer £6.99
The latest craze to hit the drugstore are the L'Oreal Mattifying primer and foundation- I am a complete sucker for a gel based primer and when I saw that this was mattifying it had to go straight on the list.

Chanel VITALUMIÈRE AQUA £33
A bit on the pricier side I know but I find that when I go to a hotter climate I don't want heavy foundation sitting on my face and the reviews I've heard about this have been amazing plus it even has an SPF of 15.

Maybelline Colour Drama Lipstick £4.99
Another product that has recently appeared in the drugstore are these lipsticks from Maybelline. The shade range is amazing and it claims to have a creamy texture meaning that it shouldn't dry out the lips.

Avene Eau Thermale//MAC Paint pot in Layin'Low//Rimmel Wake me up concealer//MAC matte lipstick in 'Honeylove'//Real Techniques expert face brush//MAC mascara//Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs perfume.

These pictures are the few bits and pieces that were splattered all over my bedside this morning as I was doing my make up. Recently I've loved wearing a nude lip and nude eye combo and the perfect products for these are MACs 'Honeylove' lipstick and one of their paint pots in the shade 'Layin'Low'. The lipstick is a matte finish so lasts throughout the day whilst I am running errands etc and the paint pot is just gorgeous, blend it all over the lid or just in the crease and it looks like you've put in tons of effort. I've also been trying the Wake Me Up concealer from Rimmel and it's an absolute gem for covering up those under-eye circles!

DOROTHY PERKINS WISH LIST

Wednesday 18 February 2015

It's that time again girls!.. Time for another wish list. However, this time it's a little different to the TOPSHOP and H&M items that I usually desire. A friend told me that from Sunday 15th- Sunday 22nd Feb Dorothy Perkins are offering 25% off online and in store on everything!
Being a student I do love to hunt for bargains and save a little bit of money so I had a browse on their website.
Admittedly I rarely ever shop in places like Dorothy Perkins unless I'm picking up a few small bits but I have to say I was really surprised. So here are a few bits that've taken my fancy: www.dorothyperkins.com!

LEE STAFFORD BLEACH BLONDE PURPLE SHAMPOO

Thursday 22 January 2015

Hi all! So today's post is all about the hair and the one product that helps to keep my hair looking salon fresh!

I can assure you that it's not a myth when us 'bleached blondes' say that bleached hair is hard to maintain because my god it is! But I've found a little gem that helps to keep my hair looking salon fresh even when those pesky roots are appearing once again.

I can't stress how super important it is to look after your hair whether it's been bleached or not. I visit the salon for a refresh every 8 weeks as this is about the time when my roots are just about unbearable and I have to admit I do pay a hefty price to have this done ££.
So, it is in my best intentions that I keep my hair looking and feeling fresh and in order to do this I need to tone my hair once every two weeks. I've tried a fair few toners before this one and found that they've made my hair have a slightly blue/ grey tone to it especially on the finer hairs. This was something I simply couldn't stand so I went on the hunt for something better and stumbled across the Lee Stafford Bleach Blonde Shampoo 250ml £6.99 in my local Boots. I liked the look of this because it was a different tone to the other colour correcting shampoos I had used before.

With a toning shampoo I usually use it twice a week whilst incorporating it into my normal washing routine and afterwards I will always finish off with a hair mask just to restore a bit of moisture as this can be quite drying. The result? My hair has never looked better! The slightly blue/grey tones that I was experiencing in previous toning shampoos are now no more! This shampoo has more of a pinker tone to it so it keeps my hair looking amazingly fresh.

It's an amazing investment for bleached hair!

BARRY M GELLY HIGH SHINE NAIL PAINT

Tuesday 13 January 2015

Hi guys! I'm so sorry for my lack of posts recently but I've only just got over having the dreaded cold/flu that goes around every winter- usually i'm lucky enough to escape it but not this year.
Anyway, now that Christmas and New Year are over I am super excited for Spring! This is usually the time when I like to start dipping into my pastel coloured nail varnish and so I thought I'd do a blog post talking about one brand that I absolutely love!

Glossy, fast drying, well pigmented and long lasting are all traits that I look for when purchasing a new nail varnish and after slowly building up a collection over a few months I have to say that the Barry M Gelly High Shine Nail Paint takes that title.

(from left to right: Huckleberry, Mustard, Papaya and Key Lime)

The formula claims to emulate the look of a gel manicure without being stuck with the same colour for weeks on end. I find it extremely glossy without a top coat, and for me it lasts 3 or 4 days without chipping which for a £3.99 nail varnish you can't complain.

(from left to right: Pink Punch, Kiwi and Prickly Pear)

All of these shades scream Spring/Summer to me but there are plenty of other shades to keep you happy all year through!

What do you think of the Barry M Nail Paints? What's your favourite colour?

BEAUTY FAVOURITES OF 2014

Thursday 1 January 2015

Can you believe it's 2015?! Happy New Year to you all. For today's post I thought i'd go through my beauty favourites of 2014.

SKINCARE
La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo £15.50
Now I know the price is a tad off-putting for this product but in all honesty it has been my absolute go-to face cream to banish those pesky blemishes throughout 2014. It seems to do something magical to my skin and the formula isn't too drying either unlike most spot treatments.

The Body Shop Seaweed Iconic Clay Mask £13
I purchased this a while back with an offer I had received through The Body Shop but I have literally used it non-stop ever since. I wanted something that I knew would draw out any blemishes from under the skin and all of the muck that comes along with them and this does the perfect job!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet £12
This the miracle face cream in a pot! It has specifically helped me during these colder months as it really quenches the thirst of my dry skin and is the perfect base for make up application.. An absolute winner!

MAC Strobe Cream £24.50
I have loved using this as a primer throughout the year as I feel that it really boosts the appearance of my skin on days when I am not feeling so great. It also comes in a fairly big bottle from which you only need the smallest bit meaning that it'll last a very long time which is a bonus.

Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter £10.50
In terms of moisturising I have to admit that it isn't something I particularly enjoy but have to do especially throughout the colder months of last year. My absolute favourite body moisturiser has to be this one from Soap and Glory- not only does it smell delicious but it really helps those pesky dry elbows.

Soap and Glory Hand Food £5.00
Once again this has been an absolute saviour throughout the colder months and smells divine- with extracts of shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow I just could not put it down.

PERFUME
Viktor and Rolf BONBON Eau de Parfum 30ml £50
Since my dad kindly picked this up for me from Duty Free back at the start of last year I have adored this perfume and it soon became my everyday scent. I am not the best at describing scents but this perfume gives off notes of caramel meaning it's slightly sweet.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Eau de Toilette 50ml £45.99
This has been another signature scent of mine, but it's much fresher than the other perfume. I've found myself using this when I'm wanting something a bit lighter and more subtle.

COSMETICS
L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Shampoo 400ml £2
I only have one haircare product in my favourites for 2014 but that is only because nothing else has managed to impress me. I picked this up on a complete whim as it was on offer in my local Sainsbury's and I am honestly not planning to change again any time soon! I am usually someone who likes to change their haircare products often, but this has really made a difference to my usually thin and brittle hair making it feel more texturised and noticeably thicker wash after wash.

Essie Good to Go Top Coat 13.5ml £8.99
Once again, something that is quite pricey for a top coat but this has been a gods send when it comes to keeping my nail varnish in-tact throughout a busy week. Before I was using the Sally Hansen 'No Chip' top coat but it just wasn't cutting it for me so I set myself a little mission to find something better and I'm so glad I found this little baby.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 NC20 £21.50
I also discovered this at the start of the year when my skin was an absolute nightmare and I was on the hunt for a medium to high coverage foundation. Even though my skin has noticeably cleared up since then I just can't pull myself away from this amazing foundation- it literally makes my skin look flawless!

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder £3.99
This powder is not only cheap and cheerful but it actually works which is quite hard to find when using slightly cheaper make up. I have combination skin which can become quite shiny in the hotter months and with a fine swoop of this over the Studio Fix Fluid after application I am set to go.

Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder (Chocolate) Medium £7.99
Last year I really got into bronzing my face and felt like it really added something to my overall make up. I went through a fair few bronzers whilst trying to find one that suited my pale complexion and eventually came to find this one. Not only is it fairly cheap but it doesn't seem to make me look orange which most bronzers do, not to mention it smells like chocolate which is just an added bonus.. yum.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick £8.99
Another very popular product from Bourjois here and a firm favourite of mine are the Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks, I have managed to collect 4 of these so far but 2 of my favourite shades are Pink Pong (as pictured) and Nude-ist. I particularly love them as they have an amazing staying power and the colour range is just fab.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette £37
I don't know anyone who hasn't tried one of these eyeshadow palettes and not fallen in love with them! Admittedly they are slightly pricey at around £37 each but they are amazing. I love all 3 of the palettes but if I had to pick one favourite from last year it would have to be number 2 which just scraped it's way in.

MAC Matte Lipstick in 'Kinda Sexy' £15.50
An everyday lipstick for me last year was one of the matte formulas from Mac in the shade 'Kinda Sexy' it's the perfect slightly brown-toned nude which for me is perfect for everyday.

Maybelline The Rocket Volum Express Mascara £7.99
Last year I discovered one of the best mascara's I've ever used! That being this one from Maybelline, it works wonders for my lashes and really makes them the perfect length and volume without clumping and is something I will certainly continue to use in 2015.

So that's it! My beauty favourites of 2014. What were your beauty favourites of last year? All the best for 2015! I can't believe Christmas is over already.
